Cook Time: 30 Minutes | Serves: 6
INGREDIENTS
• 2 containers Steph’s Fresh Mac n Cheese Sauce
• 1 package pasta
• 4 salmon fillets
• 2 large onions, thinly sliced
• Olive oil
• Salt and Pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS
1. Caramelize the onions: Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the thinly sliced onions and cook slowly, stirring occasionally, until golden, soft, and slightly crispy on the edges.
2. Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
3. Add the sauce: Return the pasta to the pot over low heat and stir in Steph’s Fresh Mac n Cheese Sauce until creamy and warmed through.
4. Mix in onions: Fold most of the caramelized onions into the mac and cheese, reserving some for topping.
5. Bake: Pour the mac and cheese into a baking dish and top with the remaining caramelized onions. Bake at 375°F for 20 minutes until hot and bubbly.
6. Broil for crispiness: Turn the oven to broil and cook for 2 minutes, until the top becomes lightly crispy and golden.
7. Serve: Let sit for a few minutes before serving so the sauce thickens slightly. Serve warm.
